Roberto Peña Arenas se estrena con su poemario titulado “La primera vez la primera vez y no antes”, lo que podría parecer un simple juego semántico, también es una invitación sin tapujos a un suspenso que nos transporta a la inquietud, que debe resolverse en esa cadencia sostenida de la introspección - retrospección. El hablante lírico viaja por diferentes idilios de su vida. Mediante un tono autobiográfico, resulta interesante el ejercicio de mostrar tan abiertamente las cartas que no se percibe el momento en que el poeta nos sumerge en su intimidad más profunda y mística.
Estamos ante una obra llamativa por sus inesperados giros ávidos por la
complicidad del público.

Roberto Peña Arenas makes his debut with his poetry collection titled “The first time the first time and not before” which, while it may seem like a mere play on words, is also an invitation without reservations to a suspense that transports us into a state of anxiety that must be resolved within the cadence sustained by introspection - retrospection.
The lyrical speaker travels throughout different romances of his life. Using an autobiographical tone, the exercise of displaying the cards so openly seems remarkably interesting that we do not notice the moment in which the poet immerses us in his profound and mystical intimacy.

We are faced with a striking work marked by its unexpected turns which make the writer eager for the reader’s complicity.
